Terms of service
Version 2026-09-26, in effect from 26 September 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and ProWPHost, 30/2, First Floor, Jai Nagar Colony, Pattalam, Choolai, Chennai 600012, India ("we", "us"). They apply when you order or use any ProWPHost service. Please read them before you order; if you don't agree, don't order.
1. What we provide
We host WordPress websites on the plan you choose. Each plan's resources are listed where you order it. After your first payment we set up your hosting, usually within one working day, and email you when it's ready.
If you ask us to move an existing site, we move one WordPress site per order to ProWPHost as part of your plan. You give us the access we need through a support request in your portal.
2. Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date, especially your email address.
- Keep your password and your WordPress logins safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or order on behalf of a business.
3. Prices, payment and renewal
- Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you order. You pay in advance for each month or year.
- Your plan renews automatically for the same period. We issue each renewal invoice about 7 days before the new period starts. You can pay it in the portal, or turn on automatic PayPal payments.
- If a tax applies to your purchase, we show it on the invoice.
- We may change a plan's price. We tell you by email at least 30 days before, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
- An order that is not paid within 7 days is cancelled.
- If a renewal invoice is still unpaid 14 days after its due date, we may suspend the service until it is paid. If it is still unpaid 30 days after its due date, we may end the service.
4. Cancelling and refunds
- If you are new to ProWPHost and cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we refund that payment in full.
- After that, and for renewals, payments are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
- You can cancel at any time from Billing in your portal or by writing to us. Your hosting keeps running until the end of the period you have paid for, and does not renew.
- When a service ends, we delete its websites and backups within 30 days. Download anything you want to keep before then.
5. Uptime commitment
We aim to keep your websites online at least 99.9% of each calendar month, as measured by our monitoring of the server that hosts them.
If we miss that in a month, you can ask for a credit within 30 days of the month's end. The credit is a share of that month's hosting fee (for yearly plans, one twelfth of the yearly price):
- below 99.9% but at least 99%: 10%
- below 99% but at least 95%: 25%
- below 95%: 50%
We apply credits to your next invoice. Credits are the only remedy for downtime. Time does not count against the commitment when it is caused by maintenance we announced at least 24 hours before, by you or your website's code, plugins or themes, by problems outside our servers (such as your domain or DNS provider), by attacks we are handling, or by events beyond our reasonable control.
6. Backups
Your plan includes automatic backups, and you can make and restore backups in your portal. We look after them carefully but cannot promise that a backup will always be available or complete, so keep your own copy of anything important.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use our service to:
- break the law, or host content that infringes someone else's rights;
- send spam, host phishing or malware, or attack other systems;
- mine cryptocurrency, or use resources in a way that harms other customers;
- try to get into accounts, servers or data that are not yours.
If a website is compromised, breaks these rules, or puts other customers at risk, we may suspend it straight away. We tell you why and work with you to restore it where we can.
8. Your content
Your websites and their content remain yours. You give us permission to store, copy and serve them only as needed to provide the service. You are responsible for your content and for the plugins and themes you install.
9. Our responsibility
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Apart from the promises in these terms, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.
10. Your personal data
We use your details only to provide the service, bill you and contact you about your account. We don't sell them. We share them only with the providers we need to run the service, such as PayPal for payments and our email provider for account emails.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a change that matters to you, we email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Chennai have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights the law of your own country gives you.
